Soil Suitability Study - Parcel Map No. (MS-92-129- Cont .
Parcel 1 had a percolation rate of 30 minutes
per inch and Parcel 2 had a percolation rate
of 60 minutes per inch.
A water sample was taken from the existing well
for nitrate . The test result was 9 . 8 mg/L.
Recommendations :
A combination of pits and leach lines are
recommended for Parcel 1 .
On Parcel 2 , damp sand was encountered at 13
feet . The percolation test hole was in the
proximity of the existing pits , and that is
probably why the layer of sand at 13 feet was
damp. It is recommended that 8 , 000 Sq -
Ft-minimum usable area be set aside for any possible
future repairs or additions to the existing system.
No special treatment is required of the well water .
Engineer ' s Statement :
Septic systems can be installed to the density
proposed and it is not expected to impact
groundwater nor cause other health hazards .
Dwain C.
