Based on information obtained from Public Works, the manure
porlds were rrAiiired to he removed as part of the previous development and replaced with storm water
retention ponds as drainage in the area was inadequate.
Neil O.Anderson and Associates collected soil samples from the manure ponds on 08/03/2001 and
again on 08/13/2001. These samples were sent to Precision Enviro-Tech for analysis for Nitrate as N,
Soluble Solid, and TKN. The samples were collected from the manure ponds prior to and again after
removal of the pond material. Analytical data from these dates are attached. Currently the area of the
manure ponds(presently retention ponds)is approximately 15 feet lower in elevation then the souther
portion of the parcels. In addition, the Flood Zone maps (attached) shows that the northern most
portion of the property is possibly with in the 100 year flood zone area.
In summary, based on the information provided, the manure ponds were removed in 2001 as part of
the adjacent development with soil samples collected, and since 2001 the area has been in use as a storm
water retention basin.
LODI ■ SACRAMENTO ■ MODESTO
ENVIRONMENTAL DIVISION 902 Industrial Way,Lodi,California 95240 ■209.367.3701 0 209.369.4228 ■w .noandersonxom
