A qualified environmental professional shall prepare a surface and subsurface contamination <br /> report, identifying any potential source of surface or subsurface contamination caused by past <br /> or current land uses. The report shall include evaluation of non-point source of hazardous <br /> materials, including agricultural chemical residues, as well as potential point sources, such as <br /> fuel storage tanks, septic systems, or chemical storage areas. If the report indicates there is <br /> contamination, corrective action shall be taken, as recommended in the report and concurred <br /> with by Environmental Health prior to acceptance of the proposed subdivision application <br /> (San Joaquin County Development Title, Section 9-905.12(a)(c)). <br /> B. The Environmental Health Department requires a soil suitability/nitrate loading study <br /> incorporating proposed staff and customer use, indicating that the area is suitable for septic <br /> tank usage. This must be performed prior to recordation of Parcel/Final Map (San Joaquin <br /> County Development Title, Section 9-1105.2(d)). A nitrate loading study is required, and a <br /> review fee of$465.00 must be paid at time of submittal to the Environmental Health <br /> Department. <br /> The sewage disposal system shall comply with the on site sewage standards of San Joaquin <br /> County prior to approval. A percolation test that meets absorption rates of the manual of <br /> septic tank practice or E.P.A. Design Manual for onsite wastewater treatment and disposal <br /> system is required for each parcel. A permit fee of$93.00 per percolation hole is required. <br /> NOTE: All percolation tests are to be conducted in areas of proposed engineered septic systems. <br /> Prior to approval of percolation tests, a Parcel Map shall be submitted to the <br /> Environmental Health Department with dimensions of septic area required by <br /> percolation tests under the San Joaquin County Sewage Standard 10:3.4. <br /> C. A review fee of$465.00 shall be submitted to the Environmental Health Department along <br /> with engineered designed criteria for the proposed sewage disposal system for each parcel for <br /> review and approval by the Environmental Health Department (San Joaquin County <br /> Development Title, Section 9-1105.2). <br /> s <br /> Page 1 of 2 MH:cf <br />
