"01/13/2006 16:15 12099487164 PAGE 03/03
t
r
Ms. Lein
January 13, 2006
Page 2
• The Department will want to review a site plan for this project when it is available.
Additional comments will be provided by the Department regarding the impacts
created by the proposed development.
This proposed development may not create a major impact on state facilities when
considered by itself. However, when combined with the cumulative impacts of other
existing and proposed development in this area, the resulting traffic will contribute to
the significant congestion forecasted to the SR-99 mainline and at the interchange of
SR-99 / Mariposa Road. Therefore, the Department recommends the collection of
impact fees on a"Fair Share"basis for future improvements to these facilities.
If you have any questions or would like to discuss our comments in more detail, please
contact Dan Brewer at (209) 948-7142 (e-mail- dan.brewerCcr7dot.ca.¢oy) or me at(209)
941-1.921.
Sincerely,
TODUMAS, Chief
Office of Intermodal Planning
c: SMorgan CA Office of Planning and Research
"Caltrans imprnws mobility acrross California"
