The existing private water wells shall be tested for the chemical Dibromochloropropane <br /> p�T (DBCP) and nitrates with the results submitted to the Environmental Health Department <br /> I prior to issuance of building permit(s). Samples are to be taken and analyzed by a State- <br /> approved laboratory (San Joaquin County Development Title, Section 9-1115.7). <br /> E. Construct a water well under permit and inspection of the Environmental Health Department <br /> t prior to occupancy. Should the number of non-resident individuals exceed 24 for at least 60 <br /> days per year, or the number of service connections exceed four, a yearly permit to operate <br /> a public water system will be required by the Environmental Health Department (San <br /> Joaquin County Development Title, Section 9-1120.2 and 9-1115.9.). <br /> The supplier must possess adequate financial, managerial, and technical capability to <br /> assure delivery of pure, wholesome, and potable drinking water in accordance with San <br /> F Joaquin County Development Title, Sections 9-1120.2 and 9-1115.9 and C.C.R., Title 22, <br /> and Health and Safety Code, Section 116525 through 116570. <br /> NOTE: <br /> The new well construction portion of this condition could be waived if a parcel merger is <br /> completed. <br /> F. he well must be repaired under permit and inspection by the Environmental Health <br /> Department (San Joaquin County Development Title, Section 9-1115.4(e)) as follows: <br /> a. Install cement surface seal around the well casing to protect the well casing sufficiently <br /> and the integrity of well grout. <br /> b. Install well plate plugs to properly seal well head. <br /> c. A backflow device approved by San Joaquin County EHD must be installed between the <br /> well head and the pressure tank. <br /> G. If floor drains are required, they must be plumbed through a sand/oil separator and <br /> discharged to an above ground system approved by the Environmental Health Department. <br /> A registered engineer must design this system. The material collected in the above ground <br /> holding system must be analyzed for hazardous constituents prior to disposal. Specific test <br /> requirements may be obtained from the Environmental Health Department. A $230 plan <br /> check fee is required at the time of submittal. <br /> H. If hazardous material(s) is stored on site, applicant must register with San Joaquin County <br /> Office of Emergency Services. <br /> I. If any quantity of hazardous waste is generated, a hazardous waste generator permit must <br /> be obtained from the EHD. The applicant must also obtain an EPA Identification Number, <br /> and comply with all applicable regulations. <br />
