FIRE CODE: The following Uniform Fire Code and San Joaquin County Ordinance Code <br /> requirements will be applicable and shall be incorporated in the construction plans before <br /> submittal to the Community Development Department for a building permit: <br /> (1) Fire flow will be provided for proposed buildings by the use of: <br /> (a) Appendix III-A of the Uniform Fire Code (public water mains) <br /> (b) NFPA 1231 of the National Fire Code(static water supply). <br /> (2) Fire department access roads shall be in accordance with section 902.2 of the <br /> California Fire Code and the standard adopted by the San Joaquin County Fire Chiefs <br /> Association. <br /> (3) Fire department access to buildings shall be in accordance with 902.4 Key Boxes: A <br /> knox box shall be installed according to fire department instructions. <br /> (4) Fire extinguishers shall be installed in accordance with California Fire Code, Volume 2, <br /> Standard 10-1. <br /> (5) Fire permits may be required prior to occupancy to conduct operations hazardous to life <br /> or property.
