Dec 17 2008 10: 30RM LRSERJET 3200 p, 2
I
i
f December 15, 2008
FOR: San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department
Mr. Rodney Estrada., R.E.H.S.
600 East Main Street
Stockton, CA 95202
PROJECT: Proposed Madina Center of North Stockton
8606 North State Route 99 East Frontage Road
Stockton, CA 95212
PA-08-108 (UP)
SUBJECT: Nitrate Loading Study and Soil Suitability Y Stud Addendum
Reference is made to the two above-referenced Studies Chesney Consulting completed for the
proposed Madina Center project in June and July of 2008. These Studies, in their entirety, were
found to be acceptable to EHD in their Approval Letter dated.A ust 15 2008_
P g ,
E In the interim,Mr. Rodney Estrada received from the San Joaquin County Planning Department,
a document produced by Mr. Amin Mahmood, the engineer for this project. There has now been
a change in the number of daily services from one service to five services, with an anticipated 20
people at each service(plus one caretaker for a total of 21). Additionally, there will classes for
approximately 40 children on the weekends. These changes in the number of on-site people will
change the average daily flow (ADF), and consequently, the nitrate loading calculations. Mr.
Estrada has requested this Addendum to document these changes in the calculations, as follows:
i
The original calculations for proie weekly wastewater flw were estimated to be;
I
4, ople x 5 gals/person x 6 d/week=630 gals
29 eo le x 5 gals/person x 1 d/week=
p g p eek 1,475 gals
Total wastewater flow per week=2,105 gals/week I
Total wastewater flow per year.=2,105 x 52 weeks/yr= 109,460 gals/yr
The proposed increase of five services mr dgy, each with 21 people and 40 students on e
weekends will now theoretically create a total wastewater flow on a weekly and yearly basis to be:
21 people x 5 services per day x 5 gals/person x 6 d/week= 3,150 gals
295 people x 5 gals/person x 1 d/week(Fridays) = 1,475 gals
40 students x 5 gal/student x 2 d/week (Saturday and Sunday) =400 gals
Total wastewater flow per week =5,025 gals/week
Total wastewater flow per year=5,025 x 52 weeks/yr= 261,300 gals/yr
Page 1 of 3
P.
