San Joaquin County Community Development Department <br /> From: San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department <br /> Contact Person: Ted Tasiopoulos R.E.H.S.,Phone: (209) 953-7698 <br /> RE: PA-0600187 (UP), SU0005995, Attention: Karla Kuhl <br /> 21356 S.Naglee Road,Tracy <br /> The San Joaquin County Development Title Requirements listed below have been identified as <br /> pertinent to this project. Other requirements may also apply. These requirements cannot be <br /> modified. <br /> A. The Environmental Health Department requires a soil suitability/nitrate loading study <br /> incorporating proposed staff and parishioners, indicating that the area is suitable for septic <br /> tank usage. This must be performed prior to issuance of building permits(s) (San Joaquin <br /> County Development Title, Section 9-1105.2(d)). A nitrate loading study is required, and a <br /> review fee of$465.00 must be paid at time of submittal to the Environmental Health <br /> Department. <br /> The sewage disposal system shall comply with the on site sewage standards of San Joaquin <br /> County prior to approval. A percolation test that meets absorption rates of the manual of <br /> septic tank practice or E.P.A. Design Manual for onsite wastewater treatment and disposal <br /> system is required for each parcel. A permit fee of$93.00 per percolation hole is required. <br /> B. The existing private water wells shall be tested for the chemical Dibromochloropropane <br /> (DBCP) and nitrates prior to issuance of building permit(s). Samples are to be taken and <br /> analyzed by a State-approved laboratory (San Joaquin County Development Title, Section 9- <br /> 1115.7). <br /> C. Applicant shall uncover existing septic tank and expose existing leach lines to verify that <br /> leach lines are not being driven over or parked on. This shall be completed under a <br /> consultation permit and inspection with the Environmental Health Department. The <br /> fee for the consultation permit is $186.00. <br /> D. Construction of individual sewage-disposal-system(s) under permit and inspection by the <br /> Environmental Health Department is required at the time of development based on the soil <br /> suitability/nitrate loading study findings (San Joaquin County Development Title, Section 9- <br /> 1110.3 & 9-1110.4). <br /> E. Construct water well under permit and inspection of the Environmental Health Department <br /> prior to occupancy. Should the number of non-resident individuals exceed 24 for at least 60 <br /> days per year, or the number of service connections exceed four, a yearly permit to operate a <br /> public water system will be required by the Environmental Health Department (San Joaquin <br /> County Development Title, Section 9-1120.2 and 9-1115.9.). <br /> MH:U <br />
