DRAFT <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT <br /> FOR <br /> ROBERTS ISLAND MARINA <br /> (c/o Robert J. Cort) <br /> EIR-78-6/U-78-24 <br /> I DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT <br /> This is an application for a marina resort on Turner Cut. The <br /> subject parcel is approximately 33 acres; however, the resort <br /> will occupy only six to seven acres. The rest of the land will <br /> be left in agriculture. If feasible, future expansion to the <br /> rest of the parcel is possible although detailed plans have not <br /> been worked out. <br /> The marina will consist of a 40' X 60' structure for bait and <br /> tackle shop, snack bar and general store. The development will <br /> also include : <br /> 1) 159 covered berths of the following sizes : <br /> Size Number of covered berths <br /> 18 X 60 12 <br /> 17 X 45 14 <br /> 16 X 40 114 <br /> 13 X 30 9 <br /> 10 X 22 4 <br /> 10 X 20 6 <br /> 2) Sites for five (5) mobilehomes for employees. <br /> 3) Thirty-three (33) spaces for recreational vehicles. <br /> 4) Fuel dock with office space and restrooms. <br /> 5) Water will be provided through wells and/or <br /> filtration system at 50 gallons per day per <br /> occupant. <br /> 6) Sewage will be handled with a treatment pond. <br /> An aerobic digestion system will be installed, <br /> and the pond will be lined with an impermeable <br /> surface, such as vinyl. <br /> - 1 - <br />
