Traylor Shea Precast Page 12 of 14
Our Project Number: E071WB
November 29, 2007
r
II.3.6 Impact of Nitrate Loading to Nearby Water Sources
Since the Site is relatively flat, we do not foresee percolating effluent affecting any surface 3 r
water resources.
r. II.4 Discussion of Nitrate Loading Results
II.4.1 Total Nitrate Impact
Based on the method and assumptions described, the result of the nitrate loading balance
indicates that the proposed development on the Site should not cause a build up of nitrates in
the aquifer above 10 mg/L-N.
II.4.2 Methods of Mitigation
r
Because of the favorable result of the nitrate loading calculation, no mitigation measures are (y 2 J
warranted.
III. CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
` In summary, percolation rates that meet the minimum EHD standards were achieved in the
shallow soil of the proposed septic disposal area of the Site.
No ground water was encountered in any of the borings drilled on the property. The depth to
ground water was approximately 45 to 60 feet below the ground surface for the period of Fall
1998 and Spring 1999 based on County groundwater maps. No groundwater was encountered
during the drilling on the property. No water sample was taken since no wells exist on the
property.
Our office concludes that the Site is suitable for development with the use of a standard septic
system. EHD allows development of septic systems with leach lines and seepage pits in this
area. All septic system construction should follow the San Joaquin County On-Site Wastewater
Disposal Standards where applicable.
_ IV. LIMITATIONS
Our professional services were performed, our findings obtained, and our conclusions proposed
in accordance with generally accepted engineering principles and practices. This warranty is in v)
lieu of all other warranties either expressed or implied.
