SAFETY <br /> 1. Before operating this machinery, read and observe all safety, operating and unpacking <br /> directions. Failure to comply with these could create hazardous conditions possibly <br /> resulting in injury, property damage, or death. <br /> 2. All installations must conform with all applicable national, state and local codes. Contact <br /> your plumber, utility company, electrician and/or retailer for details <br /> 3. This equipment must be electrically grounded. Failure to comply with this instruction <br /> could result in injury or death. <br /> 4. All power cords and/or connectors must be kept out of water. <br /> 5. Some versions of this equipment have a Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter(GFCI) installed. <br /> Tripping of the GFCI indicates an electrical fault. If this condition occurs, consult a <br /> qualified electrician for repair of the equipment. <br /> 6. The equipment must be operated at all times with all guards, shields and covers in place, <br /> or accidental injury or death may occur. <br /> 7. Operators of this equipment should be thoroughly familiar with its operation and be <br /> trained in the operation and maintenance of the equipment. <br /> 8. If chemicals are to be used in conjunction with this equipment, read and observe the <br /> chemical product directions. In particular, follow the directions in the appendix section of <br /> this manual concerning the correct use of chemical in the chlorine feeder. <br /> 4. If any volatile chemicals such as gasoline are likely to be contained in the waste to be <br /> processed, refer to the factory for further instructions on enclosing and venting the <br /> equipment. Failure to do so could result in fire and/or explosion. <br /> 10. If water leaks are found at any time during the operation of this equipment, it should be <br /> immediately shut down, all power disconnected, and the leak repaired. <br /> 11. Do not allow water from any source to accumulate on this equipment, or electrical shock <br /> causing injury or death could result. <br /> 12. Waste from this equipment may be hazardous. Check with your local authorities for the <br /> correct disposal of accumulated wastes. Handle wastes with caution. This instruction <br /> also applies to used sand from the sand filter. <br /> 13. Do not block the pump suction inlet. Severe or fatal injury could be the result. <br /> 3 <br />
