CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
-- In conclusion, a satisfactory percolation rate was not achieved on all parcels involved
with the lot line adjustment. Clay soils were encountered at the surface which impede the
downward movement of percolating water. The septic permit review has shown that
conventional septic systems are used in the area. A conversation with Mr. Mike Huggins,
Supervising Environmental Health Specialist with the San Joaquin County Environmental Health
Division, indicated that clay soils and poor percolation rates exist in the area. Mr. Huggins
` indicated that an "engineered"type of septic system could be used on those parcels which did
not meet the minimum percolation requirements. Design parameters for the engineered septic
system based on additional percolation tests will be provide to you by our office in a separate
letter.
♦ i
A
♦[,o c
