(§ 4.2) Test results from the old and new domestic wells reveals an attenuation of they downward
migration of nitrate supposedly by intervening clay strata. Or, the possibility remains tAat sign €rEant
denitrification is occurring in the underlying aquifers. The DBCP concentration increasing 3x with
increasing depth is concerning. Conventional thought would be that downward migration of DBCP
molecules may be attenuated by clay strata. Apparently what could be occurring is that DBCP was
applied upgradient to this site in an area where there is few, if any underlying clay strata. The DBCP
has migrated downward into the aquifer the new well is screened in, unimpeded.
In unsewered areas and/o areas that have been, or currently are un dr`agrircultural-prZo3 on, it is
highly recommended tl fit,bottled water b-for-dr-i tn"nd,-eooking.Jaurposes.
LIMITATIONS
The findings, testing, opinions and conclusions of this report are based upon information from
standard engineering and analytical test procedures, contemporary scientific literature and agency
consultations. Information in this report is deemed reliable by the sources from where it was
obtained. Results of the percolation testing should be assumed to only represent the subsurface
conditions encountered in the very specific location of testing as denoted on the Tentative Map, and
not of the entire proposed two Parcels.
This report is based upon current scientific knowledge to assess factors which are extremely variable
and complex within the environment. San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department
Sewage Standards have been employed for the purpose of preparing this study. Therefore, no
guarantee or warranty is expressed or implied concerning any aspect of this investigation, the
prevention of environmental impact, or related issues.
The opportunity to provide this service for you is appreciated.
