September 30,2002
Job Number: LG02-310
Page 6
6..
was recorded on the field sheet attached in the appendix of this report. The percolation tests
were observed by Mr. Johnny Yoakum, Environmental Health Specialist for San Joaquin County
.. Environmental Health Division. The following table presents a summary of the percolation tests.
Table 3.
+— Summary of Percolation Tests.
[EN
Test Test Length Test Depth(ft) Percolation Rate(min/inch) Comment
allow 4 hrs. 3 3.5 Passed Test
r
Parcel 1,deep 4 hrs. 24.9 7.4 Passed Test
Parcel 2,shallow 4 hrs. 3 3.7 Passed Test
16- Parcel 2,deep 4 hrs. 21.5 19.2 Passed Test
Parcel 3,shallow 4 hrs. 3 14.5 Passed Test
Parcel 3,deep 4 hm 20.6. 35.7 Failed Test
A satisfactory percolation rate is less than or equal to 60 minutes per inch(drop) for a
shallow test (3-ft depth) and less than or equal to 30 minutes per inch for a deep (greater than 3-ft
an less than or equal to 25 ft) test. A satisfactory percolation test was achieved on each of the
'— three (3)parcels in accordance with San Joaquin County Public Health Services Environmental
Health Division requirements.
VI. CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
` In summary, a satisfactory percolation rate was achieved on each parcel. No ground
water was encountered in any of the borings drilled to a maximum depth of 25 feet on the
ti. property. The depth to ground water during Fall 1998 and Spring 1999 period ranged between
70 to 75 feet below the ground surface. The ground water flow direction is generally toward the
east and southeast ranging between 4.8 to 7.1 feet per mile during the Fall 1998 and Spring 1999
,r period. The test results indicated that DBCP was non-detectable(ND) and nitrate was found at
44 mg/1-NO3. The result of the nitrate test indicates the ground water is below the maximum
contaminate level set by the United States Environmental Protection Agency of 45 mg/L as NO3.
Y
Ydsp G\
r
#w.
