v KLEINFELDER
Our calculations are as follows:
Ne = 1(2.0)(35)(1—.25)+0.5(9.8) = 52.5 +4.9 = 4.9 mg/1 as N
1(2.0)+ 9.8 2.0+ 9.8
CONCLUSIONS
Based on the above evaluation, we conclude that at the groundwater level, the nitrate
concentration of the wastewater produced by the maximum possible number of leach fields
allowed should not exceed the state standards.
The results of our percolation tests performed on the lots indicate that a suitable soil percolation
stratum does not exist at a depth of 3.5 feet below the existing site grade. A suitable soil
condition is defined as a strata capable of percolating water at a rate of 60 minutes per inch
(min/inch) at a depth of 3.5 feet or 30 min/inch for deeper tests. A suitable soil stratum was
encountered in the lots at depths ranging from about 11 to 19 feet below the existing site grade.
A conventional septic tank/leach trench disposal system with seepage pits designed per SJCEHD
criteria should adequately serve the proposed residence on these lots. The depth of the seepage
pits will depend upon final site grade on these lots.
LEWTATIONS
The conclusions of this report are based on the information provided regarding the existing and
proposed development and on the site conditions. It was assumed that the percolation test result
is representative of the subsurface conditions in the general area.
This completes the scope of work requested. Our work was performed in general accordance
with the standard of care that exists in San Joaquin County. No other guarantee or warranty,
expressed or implied is made.
Respectfully submitted,
KLEINFELDER,INC.
