Apply four inches of loose compost or peat in the bottom of the filter bed. Use rock <br /> in filter beds rather than Infiltrator to improve denitrification. <br /> 2. Minimum septic tank sizes <br /> 2 bedroom — 1200 gallons <br /> 3 bedroom — 1600 gallons <br /> 4 bedroom —2000 gallons <br /> 5 bedroom —2400 gallons <br /> 3.
