June 23,2006 <br /> NOA Project Number: E05165B <br /> V <br /> 4.0 GROUND WATER INFORMATION <br /> 4.1 Ground Water Depth and Gradient <br /> v <br /> The San Joaquin County Flood Control and Water Conservation District (1998 and 1999) ground <br /> water depth and elevation ma s were reviewed to determine the o d water�vels near the Site. <br /> The Fall 1998 and Sprin aps a the most current offi 'al aps vailabl from the County. <br /> According to these map (Plates 3-6), ound water lies betw en 20 an 30 fee elow ground <br /> r. surface and flows at a gra t out 5 feet per mile to the or <br /> xthea in the vicinity of the <br /> Site. <br /> No ground water was encountered by the staff of Neil O.Anderson&Associates,Inc. during the r <br /> drilling of percolation test holes to depths of approximately three feet on June 1, 2006. <br /> 4.2 Potential Ground Water Contamination Issues <br /> Identifying potential ground-water contamination sources was not part of the scope of work for the <br /> soil suitability study. Potential ground-water contamination can occur from a number of sources <br /> which often include leaky underground storage tanks,agricultural activities, dairies, septic systems <br /> and storm water infiltration. Agricultural activities, dairies and the use of septic systems in the area <br /> should be considered potential ground-water contamination sources. <br /> 4.3 Water Sample Location <br /> One well exists on Parcel 2 of Site.A water sample was taken by Jessen Welch of our office on <br /> ` June 22,2006 &66 the spigot of the well.The water sample results are forthcoming. <br /> imp 4.4 Water Sample Constituents <br /> The well water sample was analyzed for nitrate and DBCP.The results from these tests will be / <br /> forthcoming. <br /> 4.5 Well Water Sample Collection, Handling, and Transportation <br /> The nitrate sample was collected in a sterile plastic container, the DBCP sample was collected in two <br /> sterile glass vials.
