River Road, Ripon <br /> General Plan: A/G Community: - <br /> Zoning: AG-40 APN: 245-230-36 <br /> Water Supply: Private well Sewage Disposal: Septic system <br /> Storm Drainage: Natural 100-Year Flood: No <br /> Williamson Act: No Supervisorial District: 5 <br /> Staff: Richard Larrouy CEQA Determination: Negative Declaration <br /> Project Description <br /> This request is for a Site Approval application to permit the expansion of an existing migrant Head Start <br /> facility from 60 to 95 pre-school-aged children (two to six years old) and to add 30 infants (two weeks to <br /> two years old). The infants will be housed in the existing school building, and the pre-school children will <br /> be housed in the existing classroom building and three new portable classrooms. Ten new employees <br /> will be added to the existing staff of 23. The facility will operate from 5:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday <br /> through Friday, April through December. The children using the facility will continue to be primarily from <br /> within a three to four mile radius of the facility, and most will be from San Joaquin County. The applicant <br /> expects the expanded facility to double its current number of traffic trips to approximately 210 per day. <br /> For a discussion of Use Permit Application No. U-84-98, which was approved for a 60-child day care <br /> facility on the subject parcel in 1984, see 'Property History.' <br /> The Site Approval application, normally processed under Staff with Review Notification procedures, has <br /> been scheduled for a public hearing by the Planning Commission in response to neighborhood opposition <br /> generated during the referral of the application (see 'Neighborhood Opposition'). <br /> Recommendation <br /> Approval, based upon the Findings and recommended Conditions of Approval. <br /> San Joaquin County SA-93-45/Temple <br /> Community Development Page 1 <br />
