[5] Continued.
Nitrate and DBCP analyses were performed on the domestic well water
of Parcel No. 1 that services the DeGroot home. The results
indicate a non-detect (ND) for DBCP, and a high level of nitrate
concentration at 50 ppm. The Maximum Contaminant Level (MCL) as
mandated by the California Department of Health Services and the
U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is 45 ppm. The tested nitrate
concentration illustrates there has been an impact upon the local
groundwater from either agricultural practices such as nitrogen
applications, or from septic systems within the proximity of the
domestic well .
[6] PROPOSED SEPTIC TANK SIGHTING AND USAGE
The deep, fairly sandy soil structure of the subject parcel is
conducive to permeability. Although no development is proposed at
this time, it is our recommendation that any future development
have a potential leach field area percolation tested for that
specific site.
All recommended sewage disposal areas are in compliance with the
regulations of the San Joaquin Department of Environmental Health.
Any sewage disposal area must conform with all of the "distance"
separation requirements from applicable objects.
4
j
naldq onfrol hnsr hov
