CONSTRUCTION <br /> (;,.. �LI ���. �i INSPECTION&MATERIALS <br /> TESTING LABORATORY <br /> & I, �tiu� <br /> North American Technical Services <br /> October 3,2016 <br /> Morrill Industries,Inc. <br /> 24754 East River Road <br /> Escalon CA 95320 <br /> Subject: Percolation Testing—Storm Drain and Septic Systems <br /> On 9/29/2016,Justin Hasley of North American Technical Services conducted 2 percolation tests <br /> in auger borings at various depths (see percolation test reports and test map for locations). The tests were <br /> performed in accordance with San Joaquin County requirements for preparing and presaturating the soil in <br /> the test hole. After presaturation, we determined the stabilized percolation rate. The tests for the septic <br /> system leach fields were observed by the San Joaquin County Enviromnental Health. Department as <br /> required. <br /> As part of the associated soils report (#467-1), exploratory borings were made to a depth of 16.5 <br /> feet below the existing grade. Please see the boring logs attached for materials encountered. Groundwater <br /> was not encountered. Storm drain percolation test results are as follows: <br /> Test Depth Percolation RateObserved Absorption Rate <br /> A 7.5 ft 1.81 min/inch 71.1 gal/f /day <br /> B 6.0 ft 1.74 min/inch 74.0 gal/ft/day <br /> The Observed Absorption Rate is the measured rats and does not include any reduction factor. <br /> The material encountered at the tested depths was a light brown sand. <br /> Storm Drain Location Storm Drain Design Depth Design Absorption Rate <br /> A-Intermediate Pond 7.5 r 10 below )natural grade 35.6 gal/ft/day <br /> B -Existing Basin (E) to 3' below(E) grade of basin 37.0 aYf /da <br /> Design Absorption Rates include a reduction factor of 2. <br /> Percolation rates for septic system design are given below.
