San Joaquin County March 7, 2007
Community Development Department
Development Services Division
1810 East Hazelton Avenue
Stockton, CA 95205
(209) 468-3120
Attention:
Mr. Kevin Swanson,
Regarding:
Application Number PA-0700055 (SU) (Pre-application)
As long time homeowners of Rivera Cliffs we are deeply offended by the
application proposed by Richard and Carolyn Hackett, Sen and Michelle Focke
and Richard and Michelle Hackett. We feel that their motives are solely driven by
greed without any consideration for the existing residents of Riviera Cliffs. They
plan to demolish their own homes; subdivide the land, and pack as many homes
as possible onto this small acreage. When this is complete, they're going to take
their profits and leave the problems that they've created to the remaining
residents.
We are a small community that prides it's self on large lot homes, good
neighbors and continuity. The proposed 10 lot development within our
community is completely incompatible with the existing low density subdivision.
There's no reason to have a small subdivision located within an existing
quiet neighborhood that already has limited access in and out of the area. This
Proposed development would never meet city standards. We believe that this
development would have a negative Impact on sewer, water, fire, police and
overall safety of the neighborhood,
Sincerely,
John & Kathy Houbein
4224 Cliff Drive
Stockton, CA 95204
(209) 4627480
