San Joaquin County March 5, 2007
Community Development Department
1810 E. Hazelton Ave.
Stockton, CA 95205
Re:Hackett Building Proposal
PA-0700055
Attention: Kevin Swanson
Dear Mr. Swanson,
We have been advised of the Hackett"major subdivision"application in the Riviera
Cliffs area. We wish to register our opposition to the plan. I am a local attorney and my
wife is a retired Stockton Unified School District teacher. We have lived in Riviera
Cliffs for thirty-one years. We acquired our residence because of the character of the
neighborhood—large lots and nice homes. The planned "major subdivision"will impact
the neighborhood with a deleterious effect. It will impact traffic, police and fire safety,
sewer, water and utility services. It would squeeze ten homes on small lots on land that
once contained two homes. If this application is permitted, it could start a dangerous
trend. We request that this application be denied and/or in the least that an environmental
study be required.
Sincerely,
mes R_ Dyke
Alm
Eleanor M. Dyke
