The revised Study takes into consideration land owned nearby the dairy <br /> site and property surrounding the dairy site. <br /> In the Study, groundwater sampling of nearby wells reported acceptable nitrate levels <br /> except for the well at S8-1 on Van Allen road. Environmental Health Department has the <br /> following requirements pertaining to that groundwater well. That well shall be re- <br /> sampled by a State Approved Laboratory by August 1, 2002. The results of that <br /> sampling shall be submitted to EHD. The Faria Dairy shall provide notification to the <br /> residents of that water supply concerning the elevated levels of nitrates. Should the <br /> resident(s) be employees of the Faria Dairy,then bottled water shall be provided in <br /> accordance with Federal and State Laws. Based on the results of the follow up nitrate <br /> sampling,EHD may require calendar, quarterly sampling of that Van Allen well. <br /> Environmental Health Department is required to recover costs associated with this on- <br /> going activity per Board of Supervisors Order#B-90-620. The EHD will be billing for <br /> actual time spent monitoring, reporting, and recording your data and any enforcement <br /> action(s)required. <br /> In accordance with the conditions of approval for SA-01-23, the Faria Dairy is to contact <br /> the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board in regards to filing a Report of <br /> Waste Discharge. EHD will need verification of this activity prior to final occupancy <br /> approval. <br />
