KLEINFELDER
File No. 20-3399-01
October 5, 1990
and past uses in the project area to assess potential problems (C-
4) : n
Reference is made to Plate I of this report which shows
the location of the proposed parcel split site. Currently,
the majority of the site consists of an almond orchard with
a residence on the proposed 3-acre parcel at the southeast
corner of the site. An irrigation well and a domestic well
are located at the southeast corner of the site.
On October 1, a representative of our firm visited 4
residences located off Santa Fe and Henry Roads . The
purpose of our visits was to obtain information on septic
system use and to inquire about any problems known to exist
with this method of sewage disposal. Three of the 4
residences visited reported no problems with the
performance of their septic systems. However, Mr. Burch
(location 2 on Plate I) indicated his domestic well may
have been contaminated by the neighbor' s septic system.
No testing had been performed to confirm or disprove his
statement. The ages of the septic systems were reported
to be from 6 to 50 years old. Other than from Mr. Burch,
no water quality problems were reported from residences
with domestic wells.
ITEM C-2 •
"Suitability of soil for development utilizing septic systems . "
2
