Box 611 Lodi, CA 95240 Lodi, CA 95241 PROJECT DESCRIPTION: A one-year Time Extension for a Use Permit application to expand an existing 120 dog kennel in four phases over 20 years to include both dogs and cats. Phase 1 includes a new two-story building for an administrative area, dog kennel for 20 dogs, and cat kennel for 50 cats. Phase 2 includes a 3,600 square foot kennel for 20 dogs. Phase 3 includes a 3,600 square foot kennel for 20 dogs. Phase 4 includes a 700 square foot dog training building. Each Phase will also include an outdoor meeting area or exercise yard. This project is under Williamson Act contract. The Property is zoned AG-40(General Agriculture, 40-acre minimum)and the General Plan designation is A/G (General Agriculture). PROJECT LOCATION: The project site is located on the northwest corner of Sargeant Road and Ray Road, west of Lodi. (APN/Address: 025-200-05; 5113 W. Sargent Road, Lodi) (Supervisorial District 4) ENVIRONMENTAL DETERMINATION: A Negative Declaration is being proposed for adoption. Copies of the Initial Study and proposed Negative Declaration are available at the Community Development Department. APPLICATION REVIEW: If you have any recommendations or comments on this project, please submit them to the Community Development Department no later than March 7, 2013. Comments or recommendations received after that date will not be used in staffs analysis and recommendation for this application. NOTE TO SURROUNDING PROPERTY OWNERS: The Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on this project.You will receive notice of the date, time, and place of the public hearing at a later date.
