KLEIN FELDER
1 SUMMARY
r.
A Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) was conducted for Siegfried Engineering of the
approximately 46-acre property located east of Hansen Road, west of Lammers Road, and north
of Schulte Road (15000 Schulte Road) in Tracy, California. The northern portion of the site
consists primarily of fallow agricultural property, the southern portion of the property consists of
two stormwater ponds and a large warehouse. This assessment has revealed potential
environmental conditions that may have affected the subject site:
a Because of the historical agricultural use of the site, environmentally persistent pesticides
may be present on site.
a Two stormwater ponds are located north and south of the approximate 7.5 acre warehouse
located on the southern portion of the subject site.
a One industrial/fire use well with associated pump is located near the western boundary of the
site, and a monitoring well is located just north of the industrial well.
a A pole-mounted transformer is located adjacent and east of the subject site.
` a Underground irrigation piping appears to be trending along the western boundary of the site,
with associated manholes and concrete standpipes.
a Adjacent and south to the subject site is the Union Pacific Railroad
a A subsurface Chevron "crude oil" pipeline appears to trend southeast across the southwest
comer of the subject site.
o Two large sumps, 42,000, and 27,3000 gallons (five sided) are located east of the subject site
., and contain process water(animal fat)
a According to SJ EHD files two UST's (450 and 3,150 gallon) were reportedly on the
•. adjacent Owens-Illinois property.
a Owens-Brockway Glass Container. Inc. (AKA Plant #22), located at 14700 West Schulte
Road, is located adjacent and east of the southern portion of the subject site and appears on
the Cortese, LUST, CA WDS, AST, CA SLIC, TRIS, RCRIS-LQG, FINDS, and CA FID
databases.
a Tracy Operators, located at 14,800 W. Schulte Road, is located adjacent and east of the
northern portion of the subject site and appears on the HAZNET database.
40351.P0I /ST04R354 Page I of 30
Copyright 2004,Kleinfelder,Inc.
