SITE RECONICENCE AND INTERVIEW <br /> The site was inspected and an interview conducted on February 11, 2003, with the <br /> owners, Richard Sr., Deolinda, Randy, and Richard Jr. Mattos. No hazardous materials <br /> or PCB's exist on the property, No visible signs of permanent storage of petroleum <br /> products exist, misc. piles of old farm machinery are stockpiled in the area. No car <br /> batteries, paints oil drums are present. <br /> FINDINGS AND CONCLUSIONS <br /> Present Site Conditions <br /> Based on our site reconnaissance and interview performed on 11 Feb03 with Randy and <br /> Richard Mattos, the current property owners, the subject property does not exhibit a <br /> potential for release or impending release of hazardous substances or petroleum <br /> products. <br /> A representative of the Alvarez farms has informed us that the Underground storage <br /> tank has been removed; as such it will not pose a contamination threat to the subject <br /> parcel. <br /> The Tracy Defense Depot is far enough away that it will not pose a threat to the subject <br /> property. <br /> The American Transit Company is far enough away that it will not pose a threat to the <br /> subject property. <br /> Historic Land Use <br /> Based on a review of available aerial photographs, topographic maps and interviews <br /> with current land owner, the potential for release of hazardous substances or petroleum <br /> products from past site activities is low. <br /> Records Reviewed <br /> Based on a review of reasonably ascertainable public records, it is our opinion that the <br /> potential for the release or impending release of hazardous substances or petroleum <br /> products onto the proposed lease site from the property of adjacent properties is low to <br /> nonexistent. <br /> RECOMMENDATIONS <br /> Based on the data evaluated and presented in this report, the potential for a release or <br /> impending release of hazardous substances or petroleum products resulting from past <br /> and present site activities on the property is low.
