L
L, October 27,2005
NOA Project Number: E05130A
6. 3.4 Past Off-Site Sources of Contamination
LNo above-or below-ground potential or known sources of contamination to the subject property were
identified from past uses of surrounding properties, except for the following:
LSurrounding properties have been used for agriculture in the past; agricultural chemicals may
have been applied to these properties.
LAn underground storage tank was formerly located on the property of Ernie Stoval, across
Seidner Road from the subject property.
L3.5 Current Off-Site Sources of Contamination
No above-or below-ground potential or known sources of contamination to the subject property were ,
identified from current uses of the surrounding properties, except for the following: 9
• Surrounding properties are use for agriculture;agricultural chemicals may be applied to these
Lproperties.
• Surrounding properties utilize wells and septic systems.
L4.0 EVALUATION OF IDENTIFIED CONTAMINATION SOURCES
L Due to likely agricultural chemical use on the property, chemical residues may remain. No evidence was
found, however, to indicate that chemicals were applied inappropriately. '\\
If water wells are not properly operated and maintained, they can serve as contamination conduits to
groundwater. Septic systems may be used for inappropriate disposal of hazardous substances. In this
case, there is no evidence to suggest that wells or septic systems may be contaminant pathways on the
Lsubject property or vicinity.
The transformers on the subject property appear relatively new,and no staining was observed in their
t vicinity. Therefore,no impact to the subject property from the transformers is anticipated at this time.
` The bum pile and debris pile on the property both appeared to contain only tree branches and other
organic materials. No domestic trash or hazardous materials were observed. Therefore,no impact to
` the subject property from the piles is anticipated at this time.
L Because no contamination was found by the consultant investigating the former underground storage
tank on the Ernie Stoval property,no impact to the subject property from this source is anticipated at
this time.
L
9
L .*44
L
