Dear Mr. Funderberg: San Joaquin County is a signatory to San Joaquin County Multi-Species Habitat Conservation r and Open Space Plan (SJMSCP). Participation in the SJMSCP satisfies requirements of both the state and federal endangered species acts, and ensures that the impacts are mitigated below a h level of significance in compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act(CEQA). Although participation in the SJMSCP is voluntary, lead agents should be aware that if project applicants choose against,participating in the SJMSCP, they will be required to provide alternative mitigation in an amount and kind equal to that provided in the SJMSCP. SJCOG, Inc. has reviewed application PA-0300647 (LA). This project involves adjusting the property lines between 2 existing parccls. Parcel one will contain 2.8-acres and Parcel two will contain 3.4-acres. The project is located west of Sexton Road and south of State Route 120; west of Escalon. Any future structure(s) will require the conversion of Orchards or Vineyards and as such should condition the project applicant(s) to participate in the SJMSCP.
