Beard Property Page 3 <br /> Our Project Number: E07040A <br /> March 27, 2007 <br /> In the 1983 photo, an industrial building is located north of the property, and additional <br /> buildings are in the vicinity. <br /> In the 1998 photo, the northwest portion of the subject property is a parking lot. The eastern <br /> property line is the railroad easement. <br /> In the 2002 photo, the subject property and vicinity appear relatively unchanged from the <br /> previous photo. <br /> These photos are included in Appendix C of this report. NOA's ability to interpret the land <br /> uses is limited by the scale and quality of the photos. <br /> 2.3 USGS Topographic Maps <br /> One topographic map dated 1987, was obtained from Microsoft Terraserver. <br /> In the map, the subject property is depicted as open land. The property is depicted <br /> approximately 25-30 feet above mean sea level. To the north is an industrial building, to the <br /> east is a residential area, to the west is Shaw Road and Highway 99, and to the south is <br /> Fremont Street, then residential. <br /> This map is included in Appendix C of this report. <br /> 2.4 Interviews <br /> An attempt was made to obtain historical as well as current information relative to the <br /> subject property from the property owner or key site manager of the property. An <br /> Environmental Questionnaire and Disclosure Statement was completed by Tom Beard, owner <br /> of the subject project, on March 20, 2007. A copy of the responses has been included in this <br /> report as Appendix E. <br /> In responses to the questionnaire, Mr. Beard indicated that the property will be used for a <br /> parking area. No past uses of the property were noted. <br /> 3.0 PAST AND CURRENT SOURCES OF CONTAMINATION <br /> 3.1 Research Methods <br /> NOA employs a standard practice for review of database information. On a street map <br /> showing the location of the subject property, a circle is drawn one-quarter mile out from the <br /> property boundaries, and street maps or web-based mapping services are then used to <br /> determine address ranges for all streets within the quarter mile. All agency databases <br /> searchable by address are then searched for these address ranges. <br /> NEIL 0 .
