[7] Continued. <br /> As noted above, the water table is over 100 feet below the soil <br /> surface. Therefore, the groundwater level in this area is below <br /> the ten foot minimum distance between the bottom of the sumps to <br /> be installed, and the highest anticipated depth to groundwater. <br /> This 100+ foot distance between the discharge level and the <br /> underlying aquifer to be protected should be sufficient to prevent <br /> hydraulic overloading, along with adsorption and increased <br /> purifying capacity. Additionally, without in-depth hydraulic <br /> studies pertaining to the vadose zone, capillary fringe, or the <br /> phreatic water movement towards the Calaveras River, it can only <br /> be assumed that there will be sufficient attenuation of water <br /> molecule migration towards the river, based upon the depth of <br /> groundwater. <br /> Based on the documented information from the percolation testing <br /> procedures and the highest anticipated depth to groundwater, there <br /> should not be any adverse impact to the quality of the local area <br /> surface water, primarily the Calaveras River or the underlying <br /> groundwater from a proposed septic system. <br /> 6 <br /> �.,-,, ty c [-rd <br />
