Sinclair Avenue
From : Phil Simon <Phil.Simon@stocktonca.gov> Thu, Jan 10, 2019 12:10 PM
Subject : Application PA-1800324 (SA) for Unmanned
Telecommunication Facility located at 150 N. Sinclair
Avenue
To :fgirardi@sjgov.org
Mr. Girardi,
I am in receipt of the subject Planning Application. Please note that upon time of building
permit submittal to the San Joaquin county Building Department, the applicant will be
responsible for submitting plans to the Stockton Fire Department for review and approval.
In review of the site plan, the following comments/conditions have been noted:
a. It appears that the service road (access easement from Wagner Avenue) will not be
capable of being utilized as a fire access road to the telecommunication enclosure.
However, the enclosure is within fire hose reach (approximately 150 feet away) of
Wagner Avenue. With that said, a minimum 3-foot wide man-gate will be required for
access into the property from Wagner Avenue. The gate can be installed on the
sidewalk that is being reflected on the site plan leading from the ROW to the enclosure
entrance.
b. The plans will need to reflect any nearby fire hydrants within 150 feet of the structure.
c. A hazardous materials inventory will be required for any battery storage or other types
of materials related to the project.
d. If a generator is being proposed, the plans will need to reflect the location on property
and type of generator (diesel, natural gas, propane).
e. A Fre Department lock box may be required for the site.
f. Hazardous materials identification signage and NFPA 704 placards may be required on
the enclosure pending further review of the project.
Please relay this information to the applicant. They can contact me if there are any additional
questions in regard to the above-mentioned comments/conditions or on the submittal process
to the Stockton Fire Department.
