SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY
r. = COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT
P.'
1810 E.HAZELTON AVE.,STOCKTON.CA 95205$232
• O4t/FbRM' PHONE:2091468-3120 Fax:209/46&3163 (fin
October 8, 1993
OCT 0 8 1993
M_E M_O R_A_N D U_M
- - - - ENVIRvNMENTAL h,,,-,LTH
PERMIT/SERVICES
TO: Development Committee
FROM: Chandler Martin, Associate Planner
SUBJECT: Use Permit No. UP-93-13 Of Rosena Gremillion
-----------------------------------------------------------------
The proposal is to increase from 20 to 28 the number of residents
permitted at an existing board and care home located on 5th and
6th Streets, 275 feet east of "B" Street in Stockton.
On December 13 , 1989, the Board approved this facility (UP-89-33)
and specifically added the condition that the use be limited to
20 residents. Unfortunately, there is no record indicating why
the Board limited the facility to 20 residents. Because this
proposal is to delete a condition placed by the Board, this
application must be heard by the Board. (Section 9-878 . 3) Also,
because the applicant has not submitted any evidence to indicate
that there has been a change in circumstance that would make the
condition unreasonable, the Community Development Department will
recommend that the Planning Commission refer this item to the
Board of Supervisors with the recommendation that the Board take
whatever action it deems appropriate.
This item is scheduled to be heard by the Planning Commission on
November 4 , 1993 .
CM:ss
c: Rosena Gremillion
