Curtis Civil Engineer C.E. # 11584 418 Matthew Plaza Lodi , California 95240 Phone: (209) 368-4159 September 3 , 1993 San Joaquin County Public Health Service Environmental Health Division Subject : Soil Suitability Study for the James and Joyce Lipsett property which consists of dividing an existing parcel totaling 10 . 0 acres into two parcels , (Parcel 1 to contain 5 . 0 acres and Parcel 2 to contain 5 . 0 acres ) . Submitted for your review and consideration are the results of Soil Profile and Percolation tests conducted on the James and Joyce Lipsett property located in San Joaquin County at 33045 North Sowles Road, Acampo , California 95220 . Existing Septic System: Existing San Joaquin County Records were reviewed for the subject property as well as the area in the immediate vicinity of the subject property. A total of ten ( 10) permits were reviewed. No permits were found for the subject property. Nine ( 9) of the ten ( 10) permits reviewed involved the installation of leach lines varying from forty (40) to one hundred ( 100 ' ) feet in length with pits at their ends . The pits varied from 33" to 42" in diameter and all were 25 ' in depth. The remaining permit reviewed was for installing only leach lines [ three lines - all eighty (80 ' ) feet in length, for a total length of two hundred forty ( 240 ' ) ] . These septic systems were installed between May 28 , 1971 and June 5, 1991 . There were four (4 ) soil types recorded in the ten ( 10) permits reviewed. Four (4) of the permits listed the soil as either hardpan or clay hardpan. One ( l ) of the permits listed the soil as clay. One ( 1 ) of the permits listed the soil as sandy loam. The remaining four (4 ) permits did not list a soil type in the permit . No permits were noted for revising and/or repairing any of the ten ( 10) initial installations .
