CONCLUSIONS <br /> The results of percolation tests P-1 and P-2 in proposed Parcels 1 and 2 indicate that <br /> the near-surface soils (at a depth of about 3.4 and 3.30 feet, respectively) exhibit <br /> suitable percolation characteristics at the locations tested. A suitable soil condition for <br /> a test at this depth is defined as a stratum capable of percolating water at a rate of 60 <br /> minutes/inch or faster. Based on this result, a conventional septic tank/leach trench <br /> sewage disposal system designed per SJCEHD criteria should adequately serve the <br /> proposed residence. <br /> The results of percolation test P-3 located in the proposed Parcel 3 indicate that a <br /> suitable soil percolation stratum exists at a depth of about 12.30 feet below the <br /> existing ground surface at the location tested. A suitable soil condition for tests deeper <br /> than about 3'/2 feet is defined as a stratum capable of percolating water at a rate of 30 <br /> minutes/inch or faster. Based on the results of our testing, a conventional septic <br /> tank/leach trench sewage disposal system with s__eepa_ge pits designed per SjQEHD <br /> criteria should adequately serve the proposed residence. The seepage pits should <br /> extend into the soils that were encountered at the depth tested. <br /> These recommendations regarding the type of sewage disposal system appropriate for <br /> the proposed residences are for estimating purposes and are based on the specific <br /> locations tested. Once the locations of the proposed residences and associated <br /> sewage disposal systems are finalized, percolation tests should be run in the area of <br /> the proposed leach field areas. Results of the tests in the leach field areas should be <br /> used for final design of the proposed systems. <br /> 8. LIMITATIONS <br /> Kleinfelder has prepared this report in accordance with the generally accepted <br /> standards of care that exist in San Joaquin County at the time of writing. It should be <br /> recognized that definition and evaluation of geologic and chemical subsurface <br /> conditions are difficult. Judgments leading to conclusions and recommendations are <br /> generally made with an incomplete knowledge of the subsurface and/or historic <br /> conditions applicable to the site.
