AY
CommunAt,UeVe4 2444
May 2, 2004 V11141,"ek
San Joaquin County
Community Development Department
Development Services Division
1810 East Hazelton Avenue
Stockton, CA 95205
RE: APPLICATION NUMBER: PA-0400192 (VR)
Property Owner: Robert and Judy Kent
27300 Sowles Road
Galt, California 95632
Gentlemen:
We are writing to protest the plan to split the property at 27300 Sowles Road,
Galt, California. We are against splitting the property to 4.9 acres each for
several reasons, first when we brought our property we were told that this
area could not be split any lower than the ten acres parcels, second with every
new house that is built a new well has to be installed. With the water table
getting lower another well would only hurt the existing wells in this area.
Also with every new house that goes in, the farmers have more regulations for
spraying their fields or orchards. We bought here because it was country,
now every time you turn around another lot is being split and another house is
going up, and city people come and want to change the farmer's, because of
the smell or the noise or what ever upsets them, and who loses, the farmer.
We feel that splitting this parcel will only hurt the present wells and the
farmers for the spraying of their fields.
Sincerely,
Mr. & Mrs. Richard Stemen
