The provisions for composting toilets shall require the applicant to provide written proof that a <br /> designated facility that is permitted to take the additional human waste be identified and contracted to <br /> accept the waste. In addition,the applicant shall identify a permitted hauler that NN ill transport the <br /> waste under permit with the State of California or a County Health Department to transport human <br /> waste in accordance with the California Health and Safety Code. <br /> B. The design and approval of the sewage disposal system shall incorporate receiving gray water from <br /> hand washing activities. This shall be completed under a consultation permit with the Environmental <br /> Health Department for the review of the proposed design. The fee for the consultation permit is <br /> currently $465.00. <br /> C. The Environmental Health Department requires a soil suitability/nitrate loading study incorporating <br /> proposed staff and customer use, indicating that the area is suitable for septic tank usage. This must <br /> be performed prior to issuance of building permits(San Joaquin County Development Title, Section <br /> 9-1105.2(d)). A nitrate loading study is required,and a review fee of$465.00 must be paid at time of <br /> submittal to the Environmental Health Department. <br /> The sewage disposal system shall comply with the on site sewage standards of San Joaquin County <br /> prior to approval. A percolation test that meets absorption rates of the manual of septic tank practice <br /> or E.P.A. Design Manual for onsite wastewater treatment and disposal system is required for each <br /> parcel. A permit fee of$93.00 per percolation hole is required. <br /> D. The proposal for the marina will require an engineered sewage disposal system in conjunction with a <br /> pump-out facility. This shall be completed under a consultation permit with the Environmental <br /> Health Department for the review of the proposed design. The fee for the consultation permit is <br /> currently$465.00. <br /> E. Submit plans for a sewage treatment plant(for the entire development)to the Em ironmental Health <br /> Department for approval. A Registered Engineer must design and sign the plans(San Joaquin County <br /> Development Title, Section 9-1105.2). <br /> FILE COPY <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br />
