Other requirements may also apply. These requirements cannot be <br /> modified. <br /> A. The provisions for composting toilets shall require the applicant to provide written proof that <br /> a designated facility that is permitted to take the additional human waste be identified and <br /> contracted to accept the waste. In addition,the applicant shall identify a permitted hauler <br /> that will transport the waste under permit with the State of California or a County Health <br /> Department to transport human waste in accordance with the California Health and Safety <br /> Code. <br /> B. The Environmental Health Department requires a soil suitability/nitrate loading study <br /> incorporating proposed staff and customer use, indicating that the area is suitable for septic <br /> tank usage. This must be performed prior to issuance of building permits(San Joaquin <br /> County Development Title, Section 9-1105.2(d)). A nitrate loading study is required, and a <br /> review fee of$475.00 must be paid at time of submittal to the Environmental Health <br /> Department. <br /> The sewage disposal system shall comply with the on site sewage standards of San Joaquin <br /> County prior to approval. A percolation test that meets absorption rates of the manual of <br /> septic tank practice or E.P.A. Design Manual for onsite wastewater treatment and disposal <br /> system is required for each parcel. A permit fee of$95.00 per percolation hole is required. <br /> C. The design and approval of the sewage disposal system shall incorporate receiving gray <br /> water from hand washing activities. This shall be completed under a consultation permit <br /> with the Environmental Health Department for the review of the proposed design. The fee <br /> for the consultation permit is currently $475.00. <br /> D. The proposal for the marina will require a Registered Civil Engineer to design an engineered <br /> sewage disposal system in conjunction with a pump-out facility. This shall be completed <br /> under a consultation permit with the Environmental Health Department for the review of the <br /> proposed design. The fee for the consultation permit is currently $475.00. <br /> E. Submit plans for a sewage treatment plant(for the entire development)to the Environmental <br /> Health Department for approval. A Registered Engineer must design and sign the plans(San <br /> Joaquin Countv Development Title, Section 9-1105.2). <br />
