The proposed variance will not
affect the current farmable land on the site. The proposed variance will split the parcel into one
large parcel of 18 acres and a home-site parcel of.88 acres (to 1.4 acres if needed. See below).
All homes and structures are currently existing, we have made the decision to ask for a variance
instead of a Deviation for a few reasons: 1). Roy Silva one of the property owners and the
resident of the home-site at 28851 Kelly Rd. would like to have ownership of his home-site. He
is not interested in the additional acreage. The additional acreage and original home-site are to
be purchased by Darwin Inman. Darwin is the nephew to Roy Silva and Son of Dorothy Inman
the two property owners. All parties involved in this property have the intention of keeping it in
the Silva/Inman Family. 2). The proposed variance would not spit the farmable land, any split of
the farmable land would result in changes to current irrigation and would be very difficult due
Ito the shape of the property. 3). The proposed variance would limit the number potential
additional home-sites on the property area to 1. Again it is the intention of all parties involved
to split this property in a way agreeable to the family and to continue farming the property.
As you will see on the Site Plan, an additional area can be added to the small parcel to
make the area approximately 1.4 acres. It would pay the parcel an odd size, but it would not
interfere with the irrigation of the larger parcel. This is not preferred by the property owners,
but would be accepted as a condition of approval.
This'pro-posed variance is consistent with the spirit and intention of the General plan.
Business name(L)B ):
lIt{`ral 'PRORERTYAND/IC/NITYDESCRIPTION
re,NtF1 7
}{ n
11 r aIon+,'" Ifl
Assessor Parcel Number(s) Property Size Number of Parcels Project Size Williamson Act
contract
229-120-27 18 Acres 1 .88 Acres
a Yes No
O Yes D No
General Plan Designation: AG Existing Zone: A610
Property Address: 16426 S.
