Community Development Department Development Services Division 1810 East Hazelton Avenue Stockton, CA 95205 Subject: APN: 208-020-04 Owner: Keith & Cynthia Hooks To whom it may concern: The South San Joaquin Irrigation District owns, operates and maintains irrigation and/or drainage facilities which may provide service to the property described in the subject application. When property boundaries are changed, it is likely to affect the current method of water billing and water delivery. In some cases, the District will no longer be able to provide irrigation service unless certain provisions are made to extend or relocate facilities to accommodate the newly established parcels. Further conflicts could occur if these parcels are sold or transferred to others without provisions for irrigation service.. There may be a concern relative to the District's ability to continue to service the newly configured parcels. If changes in the method of irrigation are desired by owner, it is recommended that the owner contact the District, prior to the completion of the process, to determine the necessity for changes to the existing infrastructure, or easements in order to accommodate the proposed boundary changes. The owner will need to provide information concerning any changes in the method in which the adjusted parcels will be irrigated and may need to obtain a structure permit if new connections are necessary. There does not appear to be any major concern for the District relative to the proposed lot line adjustment, as long as it would not result in an encroachment of the District's easement, or access to any District facilities.
