Hwy 12 <br /> Lodi, Ca. 95240 <br /> A complaint was received on 12/23/99 concerning Jacobs Terminus Market and the <br /> rentals at this property. The con—tplaint allege, that the water source provided is not <br /> potable. Inspections of the property by Adrienne Ellsaesser R.E.H.S. of this Division <br /> verified this complaint. The water source was found to be surface water from the adjacent <br /> canal. A water sample was taken for the presence of bacteria. The laboratory results were <br /> positive for Fecal Coliform and Coliform. This does not meet the State of California <br /> Drinking Water Standards, Title 22; San Joaquin County Development Title Chapter 9; <br /> or California Uniform Retail Food Facility Laws section 113843 and section 114095 <br /> The following corrections ar. required to continue to operate your market and/ter <br /> maintain tenants on this property: <br /> 1.) Immediately provide to the tenants and market approved bottled water for <br /> drinking and washing purposes. <br /> 2.) Immediately provide notification to the tenants and market that the water supplied <br /> at the faucets fails to meet State of California Safe Drinking Water Act. Supply <br /> this Division with a copy of this notification. <br /> 3.) Provide a chlorinator to your surface water supply, which maintains a chlorine <br /> residual of not less than 0.2 mg/l. <br /> 4.) Install, in conformance of the San Joaquin County Public Health Services <br /> requirements, a well within 90 days from the date of this letter. <br /> 5.) The water supply from this new well shall meet Title 22 of the California Safe <br /> Drinking Water Act. <br /> 6.) Water provided to the food facility shall comply with the standards for a Transient <br /> Non Community Water System (TNCWS). <br /> A compliance inspection on the above items 1,2, & 3 will be made on March 1, 2000. <br /> -Or- <br /> A Division of San Joaquin County Health Care Services <br />
