STEP 3 APPLICATION PROCESSING • CEQA :If the proposed Time Extension is for a discretionary project it is subject to Environmental review. Projects that have the.potential to adversely affect the environment will require the preparation of an EIR. • ACTION Time E=xtensions can only be granted by the review authority that approved the original permit. If the permit was approved by the Planning Commission or Board of Supervisors a public hearing will be scheduled. If the staff approved your application a hearing will not be necessary unless the staffs decision is appealed. At the conclusion of the public hearing (or staff review period)your request will be approved or denied. Actions of the staff or Planning Commission can be appealed. The action of the Board is final. • FINAL_ACTION The staff will send you the results of the final action.
