..o,
March 13,2000
Job Number: LGOO-067
Page 10
a biomat filter. This will promote denitrification of the effluent in the sandy upper
soils. The sand with clay layer(1.5 ft to 4.5 ft in depth) will promote moist
conditions in the leach field for denitrification. The need for importation additional
clay is not recommended.
2) If any large gathering or special event—exceeding the daily usage estimate—is
anticipated, the use of portable chemical toilets for those events or periods is
recommended.
3) The design of the septic system should follow the San Joaquin County"Sewage
Standards" criteria.
Based on the results of this study,we believe the soils in the proposed leach field area are
satisfactory for use of an onsite septic system. Provided our recommendations are followed, we
do not believe that the proposed project will negatively impact ground water quality.
IX. LIMITATIONS
The conclusions of this report are based on the information provided regarding the
existing and proposed development, the use of the subject property, and the site conditions as
they existed at the time we excavated our test hole and performed the percolation test. It was
assumed that the test hole and percolation test results are representative of the subsurface
conditions in the general area.
Our professional services were performed, our findings obtained, and our conclusions
proposed in accordance with generally accepted engineering principles and practices.
