' 5.3 Description of soil lithology as noted from test pit by appropriate professional using industry standard protocol. The soil in this area is classified as Columbia fine sandy loam and ' Tokay fine sandy loam as stated in the Soil Survey of San Joaquin County, as provided by the United States Department of Agriculture, Soil Conservation Service. 5.4 Discussion of soil lithology as related to future onsite septic uses: The soils classified as Columbia fine sandy loam and Tokay fine sandy loam in this area have permeability that is moderately rapid. The percolation rate was between 21 to 36 min/in.(See Appendix.) ' 6.0 PERCOLATION TEST INFORMATION SECTION ' 6.1 Site map showing the location,with concise and accurate dimensions of the percolation test holes on the parcel: See Appendix. 6.2 The minimum number of shallow and deep percolation tests were performed for each parcel: Three shallow percolation test holes were prepared for this application. ' 6.3 Description of the date,time and protocol used to prepare the test hole, including depth and dimensions of hole, preparation of hole, and depth of water used to presoak(minimum 12 inches): The shallow test holes were excavated to a depth of 42 inches and 12 inches in ' diameter and backfilled with 2 inches of"pea gravel" in accordance with County Standards. The shallow holes were prepared by Mike Toy of Dillon & Murphy on August 17, 2018 at 7:30 a.m. On August 21, 2018 at 7:30 a.m. the 24 hours presoak period was started. The holes were filled ' with 12 inches of water over the gravel at this time. 6.4 Description of the date,time and condition of the test hole after the 24-hour soak period (hole still intact,hole dry,preparation of hole,and depth of water used to presoak(minimum 12 inches): On August 22, 2018 at 7:30 a.m. the three shallow test holes were dry. Six inches of water were added to the holes and three holes were deemed suitable to continue. The shallow test ' passed the minimum County requirements. 6.5 The test conformed to SJC Policy EH 02-02(correct depth,diameter,2" gravel,6" water ' refill,correct readings recorded). The percolation tests conformed to San Joaquin County Policy EHD 02-02. ' 6.6 Complete Percolation Test Form (including readings) was provided with RENS verification signature. The rate was correctly calculated using the last reading. See Appendix ' for Test results Form.
