KLEINFELDER
n ..,,d comVanv
File No. 24832.G01
January 3, 2003
Mr. Victor Goehring
P.O. Box 816
Lodi, CA 95241
Subject: SOILS SUITABILITY STUDY
PROPOSED PARCEL SPLIT
8031 EAST HIGHWAY 12
LODI, CALIFORNIA
Dear Mr. Gochring:
Kleinfelder is pleased to present the results of our soil uitability study for a proposed 10-acre
parcel and the approximately 31-acre designated remai ider at 8031 East Highway 12 east of
Lodi, California. The purpose of our study was to dete mine the suitability of the property for
septic tank usage. The study was performed in gener I accordance with the requirements of
Section 9-10100© of the San Joaquin County Ordinan . The following includes background
information regarding the proposed development, preset use of the site, and the groundwater
depth in the project area. In addition, discussions regard g our investigative procedures and the
site conditions encountered during our field exploration and the results of percolation tests are
presented. We understand that a nitrate loading sti dy of the subject property has been
completed.
PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT
On a preliminary basis, we understand that the subjecttingle-family
oject site will contain a 10-acre north
parcel and an approximate 31-acre south parcel, and a residence will be built on
each parcel. At the time of our investigation, the east siof the project site was a vineyard and
the west side was a bare field. The project site was not of Highway 12, and a residence was
adjacent to the south-west corner of the project site. The orth-west side of the proposed 10-acre
parcel was adjacent to the Mokelumne River.
We anticipate that waste disposal for the houses will be provided by individual on-site sewage
disposal systems consisting of a septic tank/leach tre ch sewage disposal system and may
include seepage pits as needed.
24832.G01/ST03R033 January 3,2003
©2003 Kleinfelder,Inc.
