The
TIS is necessary to determine this proposed project's near-term, and long-term impacts
to State facilities --both existing and proposed—and to propose appropriate mitigation
measures. The Department recommends that the study be prepared in accordance
with the Caltrans Guide, for the Preparation of Traffic Impact Studies, dated
December 2002 (Guide). The Guide is available online at the following web address:
hq://www.dot.ca.gov/hq/tpp/planning_jools/tools.htm. Minimw.n contents of the TIS
are listed in Appendix "A" ofthc TIS guide. All State owned signalized intersections,
affected by tWs project should be analyzed using the intersecting lane vehicle (TLV)
procedure from the Department's Highway Design Manual, Topic 406, page 400-21.
'(:altrau improves mehiliry arross California"
