1.0 INTRODUCTION AND PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT: <br /> 1.1 Description of Site: The project consists of a 181 acre parcel located at <br /> 14404 E. Highway 26, Linden, CA. The subject parcel numbers are 105-020-04, 05. The <br /> project is in an agricultural community and the existing parcel is zoned AG-40. <br /> 1.2 Description of proposed development: It is proposed to divide the 181 acre parcel into <br /> one 5 acre parcel, three 40 acre parcels, and a 56 acre parcel. In accordance with the San <br /> Joaquin County Development Title, this Surface and Subsurface Contamination Report (SSCR) <br /> is being submitted for approval. This report will investigate the property for visual or <br /> historical environment contamination based on field observation, interviews with the owner, <br /> and county records. (This SSCR includes no chemical analysis). <br /> 1.3 Parcel Location Map: (See Appendix for Tentative Map with Vicinity Map, and APN <br /> page). <br /> 1.4 Site Map: (See Appendix for Tentative Map). <br /> 2.0 PAST, PRESENT, AND PROPOSED FUTURE USES OF THIS SITE: <br /> 2.1 Discussion of Past, Present, and Proposed Future Uses: The primary source of <br /> information of the historic use of this property is testimony of the owners, the Karl and Frances <br /> Grupe Family Trust. The owners were interviewed on June 5, 2007. The Grupe Family Trust <br /> has owned the subject parcel for more than 10 years. The land use has not changed under their <br /> ownership. <br /> Presently the property includes an orchard. A portion of the property has a residence, barns, <br /> and assorted out buildings. The surrounding properties are used for agricultural purposes. <br /> 3.0 IDENTIFICATION OF ALL PAST AND CURRENT SOURCES OF <br /> CONTAMINATION: <br /> 3.1 Methods Used to Research: Methods used to research this parcel were records <br /> researched at the San Joaquin County Agriculture Commissioners office on May 23, 2007 <br /> (see appendix for results). An onsite survey performed on May 24, 2007 by Joe Murphy of <br /> Dillon & Murphy. The owner was interviewed on June 5, 2007 by Joe Murphy. San Joaquin <br /> County Environmental Health Department's underground storage tank site mitigation database <br /> list did not yield any findings on the subject parcel (see appendix).
