The following Uniform Fire Code and San Joaquin County Ordinance Code <br /> requirements will be applicable and shall be incorporated in the construction plans <br /> before submittal to the Community Development Department for a Building permit: <br /> a. Fire flow will be provided for proposed buildings by the use of: <br /> 1.) Appendix III-A of the Uniform Fire Code (public water Mains). <br /> — 2.) NFPA 1231 of the National Fire Code (static water supply). <br /> 3.) County Fire Chiefs Standard enclosed. <br /> b. Fire hydrants shall be supplied in accordance with Appendix III-B of the <br /> Uniform Fire Code. <br /> c. Fire sprinkler systems shall be installed according to Article 10 of the <br /> California Fire code and the appropriate standards and guides adopted in <br /> Chapter 35 of the California Building Code and the California Electrical Code. <br /> d. All valves controlling the water supply for automatic fire sprinkler systems and <br /> water-flow switches shall be monitored in accordance with 904.3.1 of the <br /> California Fire Code. <br /> e. Fire department access roads shall be in accordance with section 902.2 of the <br /> California Fire Code and the standard adopted by the San Joaquin County Fire <br /> Chiefs Association. <br /> f. Fire department access to buildings shall be in accordance with 902.4 Key <br /> Boxes: A Knox Box shall be installed according to fire department instructions. <br /> g. Fire extinguishers shall be installed in accordance with California Fire Code, <br /> Volume 2, Standard 10-1. <br /> h. Fire permits may be required prior to occupancy to conduct operations <br /> hazardous to life or property. CFC 105.2.1 <br /> I. Mechanical refrigeration systems shall comply with all applicable codes <br /> (ammonia, etc.) <br />
