4. The existing private water wells shall be tested for the chemical <br /> dibromochloropropane (DBCP) and nitrates prior to recordation of the <br /> Parcel Map. Samples are to be taken and analyzed by a State-approved <br /> laboratory. (San Joaquin County Development Title Section 9-1115.7) <br /> 5. The well must be repaired under permit and inspection by the <br /> Environmental Health Division (San Joaquin County Development Title <br /> Section 9-1115.4(e)) as follows: ^C. <br /> a. Agricultural discharge pipes utilizing an air gap for backflow <br /> prevention shall maintain an air gap equal to the size of the <br /> discharge pipe, but not less than 6 inches. The discharge pipe <br /> shall also have two 1/ inch slits extending 6 inches from the <br /> bottom of the pipe and opposite each other or a backflow device <br /> approved by San Joaquin County must be installed. <br />
