18 June 2008
AGE-NC-08-1612
4.1. GROUND WATER DESCRIPTION FOR THE GENERAL AREA
The San Joaquin County Flood Control and Water Conservation District's Lines of Equal Depth to
Ground Water Spring 1999 indicates the depth to ground water is 90 feet or greater. Ground water
flow direction locally appears to be variable and considered beneficial use.
Ground water was not encountered in the 42-inch percolation test hole on 28 May 2008.
Based upon a review of well permit records at EHD by an AGE representative, the total depth of
domestic water supply well was not known, but the on-site agricultural supply well is over 175 feet,
based upon the recorded pump depth.Other wells in the general area had recorded depth of 218 feet
bsg and 240 feet bsg.
4.2. GROUND WATER CONTAMINATION IN THE AREA OF THE SITE
The immediately adjacent and outlying land use for the parcel is agricultural in nature. There are
potential ground water contamination issues associated with agricultural uses and local septic
systems.A review ofthe California Department of Toxics and Substance Control(DTSC)Envirostor
Database did not reveal a contaminated site within two miles of the property; however the State
Water Resources Control Board's GeoTracker database indicated two closed leaking fuel
underground storage tank (LUST) sites within a two-mile radius of the site. Both site have been
closed and are located more than one-mile from the subject parcel.
4.3. ON-SITE EXISTING WELL DESCRIPTION
The date of installation and well specifications of the existing domestic water supply well is not
known. A well installation permit was not available during record review at EHD. The well pump
was reportedly repaired in 1976,but well specifications were not noted on the permit(Appendix B). r
The date of installation of the existing agricultural supply well is also not known.A well installation
permit was not available during record review at EHD. A new well pump was reportedly installed
in 1997. The depth of the pump was reported to be set at 175 feet bsg with the first water reported
to be at approximately 108 feet bsg.
Advanced GeoEnviron mental,Inc.
